To Know More About car ppf service

WHAT IS CAR PPF?

PPF, or Paint Protection Film, is a clear, high-performance urethane film put over the surface of your car to protect its paint from rock chips, scratches, and road debris and other environmental contaminants like bird droppings and tree sap. While typically found on bumper lips and other higher impact areas, such as front and rear bumpers, hood, side mirrors, and door edges, many car owners opt for full-coverage car PPF for maximum full-body protection.

TYPES OF CAR PPF

1. Self-Healing PPF: This type of PPF can automatically repair small scratches or swirl marks by the action of heat such as sunlight or warm water. It is perfect for maintaining an ever-pristine finish over time with minimal efforts.

2. Gloss PPF: Gloss PPF is an add-on that gives the original paint an excellent depth reflective shiny layer, while retaining its protection. This is perfect for keeping the gloss finish of the car safe from damage.

3. Matte PPF: Matte PPF has the same level of protection but in matte or satin finish, which now gives the vehicle an unmistakable appearance while retaining its protection.

4. Partial PPF Kits: Partial PPF kits are meant for specific areas of the car, such as the front bumper, headlamps, and side mirrors. Partial kits are perfect for car owners who require PPF protection on high-risk areas but do not wish to cover the full automobile.

CAR PPF BENEFITS

1. Protection from Rock Chips and Scratches: PPF is an impenetrable coat, which absorbs impacts from road debris, protecting paint chips and scratches.

2. It shields the car's paint from harmful UV rays, which, over time, would fade or partially oxidize it, leaving the car looking even older.

3. PPF resists chemicals causing stains from acidic contaminants: bird droppings, tree sap, bug residue, etc., which might cause permanent stain on the paint.

4. Saves Car's Resale Value: PPF allows paint protection by preventing damage on the car's exterior; it retains the resale value because the paint remains well-maintained over a period of time.

COMMON PROBLEMS FACED BY CAR PPF

1. Stone Chip: While driving, on highways and roads small stones, pebbles cause damage to the paint. PPF prevents chip formation because it absorbs the impact.

2. Scratches and Swirl Marks: Even normal car washes can lead to scratches and swirl marks on the vehicle. PPF prevents this by creating a protective layer for the vehicle.

3. Paint Fading and Oxidation: Sun rays may still continue to fade and oxidize the paint of the vehicle, but PPF protects the vehicle with its UV shield, saving the car's color and gloss.

POST-CAR PPF INSTALLATION TIPS

1. No Water Dries for 48 Hours: Don't wash the car for at least 48 hours after application so that the film has more time to stick onto the surface.

2.  Use Only pH-Neutral Products: Use only pH-neutral shampoos and soft microfiber for cleaning and avoid damaging your PPF.

3.  Inspect Frequently: Check if there is something peeling out or bubbles up, especially on the edges, and get back to your installer for a checkup.

4. Steer Clear of Harsh Chemicals: Do not expose the PPF to abrasive cleaners or chemicals as it may damage the film and will, at the same time, reduce the adhesiveness of the paint.
